Essex Trees promotes the recycling of wood from our tree surgery and forestry work into firewood and wood mulch for local homes and businesses. Many homes in Essex now use wood burners in the winter months to heat their homes providing the option of using a natural fuel source.

Logs Essex Trees Supply

We only sell seasoned hardwood, which has been seasoned for a minimum of 24 months. We start the process by cutting the tree logs into shorter pieces that will easily fit into a wood burner or open fire using our log splitter.

Leaving the logs for this length of time in the correct conditions reduces the moisture content. Having less moisture content in your firewood assists them in catching alight easier and also makes the fire hotter, reducing the amount of wood needed in your stove. At Essex Trees we only sell hardwood as this is considered the best firewood for intense and high heat. Our hardwood logs have a moisture content of less than 20% ensuring you have the best quality seasoned wood for your fire or stove.

How much does our firewood cost?

We sell our logs in cubic metre bags for £90 per bag and provide free delivery within a 7 mile radius of our location in Stock if you purchase a minimum of 2 bags. If you are located outside of this area a surcharge will apply for delivery.
